Research Areas

The main focus of our work is the relationship between the geometrical structure and the properties of a material (solid, liquid, molecule, cluster, ...). For over 20 years the theoretical basis has been the density functional (DF) theory.

Density functional theory and its applications:

Structure and reactions of organic molecules and polymers.
Use of DF energy surfaces to parameterize classical force fields.

Classical simulations of polymeric systems (e.g. BPA-PC).
