AboutI currently work at the Institute of Complex Systems (ICS) and the Institute for Advanced Simulation (IAS) in the Research Center Juelich (FZJ), Germany. I am part of the Theoretical Soft Matter and Biophysics (ICS-2/IAS-2) group led by Prof. Gerhard Gompper. |

My research involves modeling and understanding the behavior of complex and biological fluids including blood, various polymeric solutions, and active liquids. These fluids are generally viscoelastic and may show incredibly complex rheology and dynamics. In particular, I focus on the flow behavior of blood cells in health and disease (e.g., malaria, cancer), on the rheological properties of cell/capsule suspensions and polymer solutions, and on the behavior of microswimmers. My research interests also include multiscale modeling and hybrid algorithms that bridge atomistic, mesoscopic, and continuum scales.
