Peter Grünberg Centre Opened

On 12 March, Forschungszentrum Jülich officially opened the Peter Grünberg Centre. It is the central platform for basic research in the field of nanoelectronics in the Jülich-Aachen region, and the first research institution in the field of nanoelectronics in Germany that is also open to external users. Forschungszentrum Jülich named the centre in honour of its Nobel Prize Laureate Peter Grünberg.


In the opening ceremony, the Nobel Laureate Peter Grünberg (third from the left) was presented with a symbolic key to the new centre bearing his name.
